DROVE WITH CUSTOMER AND DETERMINED NOISE IS CUPPED TIRES. FOUND ENGINE WAS 1 1/2 QTS LOW SO TOPPED OFF NO ENGINE OIL LEAKS SEEN AND ALSO FOUND RACK & PINION IS LEAKING P/S FLUID. CUSTOMER STATED THAT THERE IS NO OR LOW BOOST FROM TURBO AND DID VERIFY ON TEST DRIVE. SMOKED INTAKE AND FOUND NO LEAKS, INSPECTED INTERCOOLER WHICH IS GOOD, TESTED BYPASS SOLENOID WHICH IS ALSO GOOD. REMOVER TURBO EXHAUST OUTLET TO INSPECT TURBO VANE AND BYPASS WHICH ALSO APPEAR TO BE GOOD BUT FOUND DOWN PIPE CATALYTIC CONVERTER IS BROKEN CAUSING EXHAUST BACK PRESSURE WHICH REDUCES TURBO PERFORMANCE AND REDUCES BOOST TO 3.5 PSI. NORMAL BOOST SHOULD BE AROUND 12-13PSI AT HARD ACCEL. NOTE: HAS CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS. REASSEMBLED WITH OLD/BAD PARTS AS PER CUSTOMER.
